Isidro Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martín Palermo in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Marco Ireno notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal. Isidro Christobal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the game, Mark Dimech threw the ball into play from the sideline. Metal Juniors's Haroldo Nayely quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 20th minute, Martín Palermo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Christobal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as DEPORTIVO SJ's 潘林凡 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisco Nesor. That made the score 1-2 after 23 minutes of play. Isidro Christobal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Isidro Christobal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in DEPORTIVO SJ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! DEPORTIVO SJ:s Isidro Christobal showed great skill when he stopped Reinaldo Castro:s penalty. Francisco Nesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Mohammad in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Sergio Dennis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, DEPORTIVO SJ's Mark Dimech got a free kick in the 91st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Metal Juniors eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
