After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Lautaro Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo got control of the ball when Lautaro Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Darryl Buckner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Scaloneta's Dibag Martinez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dibag Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Buckner in the 44th minute of play. Leopoldo Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lion Messi to make the kick off. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Martinez in the 51st minute of the match. La Scaloneta were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leandro Paredes took the corner. After taking down the ball on La Scaloneta's corner Ángel-Fabián Di María fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victoriano Bernaldo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 54th minute, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Darryl Buckner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dibag Martinez. Dibag Martinez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. The La Scaloneta fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when La Scaloneta's Lautaro Martinez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darryl Buckner in the 66th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Dibag Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Martinez in the 82nd minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Scaloneta's zone, Santo Libertad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dibag Martinez came out of the goal and Santo Libertad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 94 in the game by Leopoldo Rosa from a close distance when the talented Dibag Martinez managed to make a qualified save. La Scaloneta's players were relieved. Dep Colonia Avellaneda were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing La Scaloneta to leave the ground with a draw.
