In the 5th minute Nemanja Vidić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yao Guang Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Yaji FC's Claudio Suarez got a free kick in the 8th minute. Maravilla's Paulus Van Poucke got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Yaji FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cruz Credo came free, but Yao Guang Chao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facundo Altamirano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Ranolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yaji FC's zone, Primitivo Txanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yao Guang Chao came out of the goal and Primitivo Txanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Cruz Credo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maravilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cruz Credo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute of the match Maravilla got a corner. Yaji FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulus Van Poucke ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maravilla's Primitivo Txanton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yao Guang Chao in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yao Guang Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Credo in the 30th minute of the match. When Cruz Credo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Maravilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cruz Credo couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Roberto Mouzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Facundo Altamirano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Ranolfo in the 67th minute. After 72 minutes, Justino Lehoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yaji FC and the Maravilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Yaji FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Lehoi to maneuver through the defense. Yaji FC's Generoso Lucado was substituted for Pascual Pes. After 74 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Justino Lehoi. Facundo Altamirano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kryspin Ziemba in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Maravilla's Cruz Credo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yao Guang Chao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the game, Kryspin Ziemba landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Primitivo Txanton fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maravilla's protests and gave Primitivo Txanton a yellow card for diving instead. Primitivo Txanton hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Ladislao Tximitx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yaji FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maravilla the free kick. Generoso Lucado kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Yao Guang Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cruz Credo in the 96th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Cruz Credo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maravilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Maravilla walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
