Eduardo Soriano hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Baristo in the 9th minute of play. Ignacio Valery made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Kara Melo sent off a good shot on target. Yu Yi Si made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by San Lorenzo's Ke Lin Mo. Mo Yi Sang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ignacio Valery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mo Yi Sang was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. San Lorenzo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mo Yi Sang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mo Yi Sang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacio Valery read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kara Melo hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match San Lorenzo got a corner. Eigtheenstars 2's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gigi Penaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Baristo in the 37th minute of play. If Mo Yi Sang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Faro's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Faro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Eigtheenstars 2's Julio Faro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julio Faro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Kara Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The San Lorenzo fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when San Lorenzo's Mo Yi Sang looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliberto Soter got free with Matias Carlomagno in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mo Yi Sang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignacio Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kara Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Valery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Yi Sang in the 74th minute of play. Eigtheenstars 2's Mauro Caruso was substituted for Julio Faro. The corner ended in Gigi Penaru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Eigtheenstars 2's Ignacio Valery did a great save. San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. In the 80thth minute of the game Mo Yi Sang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eigtheenstars 2's Ignacio Valery was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ignacio Valery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kara Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
