With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27thth minute of the game Arturo Ranolfo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Arturo Ranolfo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gabriel Urtats, 1-0. Yao Guang Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Abaunza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Sol was the one to do the kick off. Arturo Ranolfo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gabriel Urtats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yaji FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Ranolfo in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Urtats saved Areco FC from getting behind. Gabriel Urtats stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Ranolfo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Arturo Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Abaunza kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Ranolfo in the 59th minute of play. Arturo Ranolfo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Urtats having to make a save. Areco FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
