Islas FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after La Maquina 9-12-18's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benedicto Tonete took the corner. La Maquina 9-12-18's Felix Clis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Tonete in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filiberto Bero was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes La Maquina 9-12-18 got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Torres. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustacio Inko in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Clis saved La Maquina 9-12-18 from getting behind. The supporters of La Maquina 9-12-18 booed when Islas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Eustacio Inko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Clis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Clis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Inko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Islas FC made a substitution. Jaime Eder replaced Flavio Aballe. Islas FC's Vicente Ipar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Gelacio in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Islas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Umbruso came free, but Vicente Ipar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Ipar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Gelacio in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Arturo Umbruso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Inko got free with Felix Clis in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Islas FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
