Maximo Vito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafael Bela showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Gaztea was the one to do the kick off. Donato Gaztea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximo Vito having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, Real Academia Serengetti's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Bela came free, but Maximo Vito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Bela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st match minute, Real Academia Serengetti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Cebo to maneuver through the defense. Donato Cai succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 79th playminute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NUMBA reached it. Real Academia Serengetti's Maximo Vito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Gaztea in the 90th minute of play. When Cosme Ayala came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the NUMBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosme Ayala couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute Rafael Bela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Vito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
