Vicente Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Chumo in the 29th minute of the match. When Sixto Ugaitz fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Scalonetos's protests and gave Sixto Ugaitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes CF Scalonetos got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Ugaitz. The CF Scalonetos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MOEBIO were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Chumo to make the kick off. Vicente Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Chumo in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Mario Senio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Vicente Beliran managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when MOEBIO's Alvaro Chumo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sixto Ugaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aquiles Castulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquiles Castulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Manny, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. A collision led to CF Scalonetos getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Mario Senio hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes, MOEBIO's Fabio Matxin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Beliran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MOEBIO reached it. After 68 minutes, Tomás Berdoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF Scalonetos and the MOEBIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, CF Scalonetos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Berdoi to maneuver through the defense.
