Invisible's Cristo Piorno got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Constantino Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Invisible defense, Jacinto Marcones kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clodoveo Aresti. The Invisible fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clodoveo Aresti should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 45th minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Saverio Dominix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Invisible players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Maquina 9-12-18 were winning 0-2.

When Juan Telo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the La Maquina 9-12-18 fans jumped to their feet.
