Alzaga FC's Manuel Ekain came free and shot a quick shot against goal 17 minutes in the game, fortunately Eustacio Piearres had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Alzaga FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Berutti FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Ekain took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Manuel Ekain got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eustacio Piearres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Serafin James's late challenge caught a Alzaga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serafin James helped the player get up and apologised. Serafin James hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Alzaga FC's Natalio Elivareo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Ekain got his second yellow card in the match during the 48th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Manuel Ekain got a free kick in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
