After having played for 16 minutes, Celedonio Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebrachitos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Gaizkine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Sarr might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernan Rio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Sarr ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd match minute, Islas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Iruinea to maneuver through the defense. Fernan Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Sarr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualterio Loco made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Severino Casomiro sent off a good shot on target. Fernan Rio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 46 played minutes Islas FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Lonzo. After the first half Quebrachitos FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Quebrachitos FC's Gualterio Loco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Iruinea in the 58th minute of play. Alex Sarr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Rio having to interfere. Gualterio Loco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Acevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Quebrachitos FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tadeo Mannie hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the game, Narciso Acevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Islas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebrachitos FC the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Alex Sarr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebrachitos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Sarr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernan Rio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernan Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Sarr in the 79th minute of play. Quebrachitos FC's Alex Sarr was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Islas FC's zone, Celedonio Gaizkine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Rio came out of the goal and Celedonio Gaizkine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Harriet hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Gualterio Loco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Casomiro in the 91st minute of the match. Alex Sarr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quebrachitos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
