The corner ended in Filiberto Nisio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş did a great save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute Leonello Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Güneş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 played minutes Lagrima en Jarrita got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Figueroa. In the 90th minute, David Gagriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodosio Figueroa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Şenol Güneş having to make a save. Şenol Güneş made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Olgierd Karanowski sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco George in the 94th minute of play forced Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Loco Malo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lagrima en Jarrita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lagrima en Jarrita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
