Dennis Beerthuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Covaci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Beerthuis came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by SV Bad Harzburg's Teodor Covaci. But to his dismay, Teodor Covaci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gert Jan van Westerop made a great header on Winthont FC's corner, it was just that SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Jan van Westerop in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Wiese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Alex de Rudder made a precise shot to the right of Tim Wiese. SV Bad Harzburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gert Jan van Westerop hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alex de Rudder kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tim Wiese. That made the score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex de Rudder in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Wiese saved SV Bad Harzburg from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Alex de Rudder put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tim Wiese. Winthont FC's Marnix Mastebroek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Willi Rau in the 27 minute of the game. After 30 played minutes Alex de Rudder rounded SV Bad Harzburg's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-1. Teodor Covaci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex de Rudder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Tim Wiese made a huge save. Winthont FC's Dennis Beerthuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Richter in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when Winthont FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Jan van Westerop didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Szczepan Nikodemski was the one to do the kick off. Willi Rau's late challenge caught a Winthont FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willi Rau helped the player get up and apologised. Willi Rau hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game, Alex de Rudder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Tim Wiese was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gert Jan van Westerop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tim Wiese stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex de Rudder's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Winthont FC's Alex de Rudder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tim Wiese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Marnix Mastebroek's late challenge caught a SV Bad Harzburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marnix Mastebroek helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marnix Mastebroek hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the game, Alex de Rudder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Tim Wiese was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute of the match, Mats Koser got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dennis Beerthuis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex de Rudder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Alex de Rudder came free, but Tim Wiese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Alex de Rudder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szczepan Nikodemski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dennis Beerthuis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Henselmans. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex de Rudder in the 85th minute of play. Teodor Covaci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Dennis Beerthuis made a huge save. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex de Rudder, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Winthont FC's Werner Hoving got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Szczepan Nikodemski took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Beerthuis. Dennis Beerthuis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Winthont FC had won after a very even match.
