In the 4th minute Tod Freeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Aparecido in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Freeman in the 15th minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Silvinho Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Emilio Lain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Lain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camron Rhodes got free with Silvinho Veiga in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvinho Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Freeman in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Şükür Hagi could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Silvinho Veiga however easily saved by the left post. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leicester Lions's goalkeeper Grant Blacknell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvinho Veiga made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Will Patton sent off a good shot on target. Silvinho Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Freeman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Aparecido in the 40th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Tony Cheeseman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tod Freeman was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Braga Junior FC's José Vítor Aparecido ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Grant Blacknell. Grant Blacknell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Silvinho Veiga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Şükür Hagi went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute Camron Rhodes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvinho Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camron Rhodes's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Camron Rhodes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Silvinho Veiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Rhodes in the 75th minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Silvinho Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Vítor Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leicester Lions's Jack Sharp was substituted for Alexander Cheetham. José Vítor Aparecido might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grant Blacknell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Vítor Aparecido ran back to his position shaking his head. Tony Cheeseman's late challenge caught a Braga Junior FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Grant Blacknell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvinho Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şükür Hagi in the 97th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
