Jorn de Zwaan's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorn de Zwaan helped the player get up and apologised. Vlad Voican didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex de Rudder. With a little luck, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Vlad Voican got control of the ball when Alex de Rudder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dan Stelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dennis Beerthuis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Florin Darabonț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Beerthuis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Stelaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Dennis Beerthuis made a huge save. Dennis Beerthuis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Stelaru in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Vlad Voican, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV defense, Alex de Rudder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlad Voican. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlad Voican should have stopped the shot. The corner ended in Jorn de Zwaan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Vlad Voican did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Stelaru got free with Dennis Beerthuis in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Winthont FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
