In the 6th minute of the match, Paulo Teinturier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Achille Fiordelisi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Achille Fiordelisi made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Bart Vetter sent off a good shot on target. Achille Fiordelisi was a little too slow when Paulo Teinturier got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Felice Barbato took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustave Lechat. Gustave Lechat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Felice Barbato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustave Lechat. R.C. Marseille's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felice Barbato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Achille Fiordelisi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart Vetter in the 25th minute. Bart Vetter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Talenti Roma Calcio's Achille Fiordelisi got control of the ball when Bart Vetter tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermanno Marcolongo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustave Lechat saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Florent Travers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Achille Fiordelisi. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 36th minute, Fabiano Paoletti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, William Lepreux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. R.C. Marseille's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talenti Roma Calcio the free kick. 40 minutes into the match, Talenti Roma Calcio's goalkeeper Achille Fiordelisi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bart Vetter. After a rather tough play, Talenti Roma Calcio's Alberigo Gregori got a free kick in the 41st minute. Achille Fiordelisi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florent Travers in the 42nd minute. Ermanno Marcolongo might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustave Lechat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermanno Marcolongo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ermanno Marcolongo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustave Lechat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. With a little luck, Talenti Roma Calcio's Achille Fiordelisi got control of the ball when Bart Vetter tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Talenti Roma Calcio's Dave Paoletti got a free kick in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
Felice Barbato hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute Bart Vetter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Lechat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felice Barbato. Felice Barbato took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustave Lechat. Gustave Lechat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Achille Fiordelisi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Teinturier, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Bart Vetter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Talenti Roma Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Vetter came free, but Achille Fiordelisi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Ermanno Marcolongo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 played minutes Talenti Roma Calcio got a freekick which was hit by Dave Paoletti. In the 82nd minute Paulo Teinturier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes of play, R.C. Marseille's Paulo Teinturier made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Achille Fiordelisi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85thth minute of the game Paulo Teinturier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talenti Roma Calcio's Achille Fiordelisi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Teinturier took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Achille Fiordelisi. Achille Fiordelisi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Frank Anastasi hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Talenti Roma Calcio's Achille Fiordelisi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goalkeeper Gustave Lechat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felice Barbato. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. R.C. Marseille fully deserved thier win.
