Lucian Florei was slow to take the kick. During this time Camporioccio VS's players had a chance to rest. Gustave Lechat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şimşek Yağızer in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Camporioccio VS getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nils Broman hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Paulo Teinturier managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C. Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Teinturier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrice Marsonet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 51st minute of play forced Camporioccio VS's goalkeeper Patrice Marsonet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Dubar hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Gustave Lechat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zachary Rywin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Camporioccio VS's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Teinturier came free, but Patrice Marsonet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat got control of the ball when Zachary Rywin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dino Verdini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Florent Travers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Verdini in the 97th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
