Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Mons the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Valentín Olveira hit a great ball. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Ulici, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute Ruben Smidts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Mazurkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Ulici came free, but Ladislao Mazurkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Daniels to maneuver through the defense. Alex Pihl was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Zhang Cheng Ping. In the 12th minute Leif Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Mazurkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Zhang Cheng Ping made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Pihl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Pihl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luo Cheng in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Peyo Contera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Deman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Ulici in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Ladislao Mazurkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Pihl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luo Cheng in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luo Cheng in the 28th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Alex Pihl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When SK Mons's Cornel Ulici in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Ladislao Mazurkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Smidts in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the SK Mons defense, Zhang Cheng Ping kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Pihl. The SK Mons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Pihl should have stopped the shot. Alex Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peyo Contera in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peyo Contera to make the kick off. Alex Pihl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhang Cheng Ping, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alex Pihl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhang Cheng Ping in the 54th minute of the match. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Ruben Smidts sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leif Olofsson got free with Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Celio Campa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Ruben Smidts could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Ladislao Mazurkiewicz however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhang Cheng Ping in the 67th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Alex Pihl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Ladislao Mazurkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peng Xu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhang Cheng Ping in the 74th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Alex Pihl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Zhang Cheng Ping came free, but Alex Pihl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Zhang Cheng Ping managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Zhang Cheng Ping was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Pihl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornel Ulici in the 81st minute. If Leif Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Luo Cheng made a precise shot to the right of Alex Pihl. SK Mons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 93 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Ulici. In the 94th minute Peyo Contera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celio Campa in the 96th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Alex Pihl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
