Edgard Bastos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Achille Fiordelisi. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Simões in the 46th minute of play forced Talenti Roma Calcio's goalkeeper Achille Fiordelisi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
