Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cornel Ulici got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, SK Mons's Alex Pihl got control of the ball when Hermengildo Nesor tried to sneak it across the goal line. SK Mons's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Leif Hammarberg scored to the left of an out of position Alex Pihl, making the score, 1-0. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Olofsson in the 9th minute of play. SK Mons's Alex Pihl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, SK Mons's Cornel Ulici nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Beerthuis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dennis Beerthuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Smidts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Beerthuis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Ulici in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Winthont FC's Hermengildo Nesor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Pihl. Alex Pihl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Yanniek Verhaert hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goalkeeper Alex Pihl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Nesor. 33 minutes into the game, Leif Hammarberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alex Pihl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Smidts in the 36th minute of play. Alex Pihl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Hammarberg in the 40th minute of the match. Hermengildo Nesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Nesor came free, but Alex Pihl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc van Nistelrooij to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Marc van Nistelrooij had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Pihl. SK Mons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc van Nistelrooij was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 55th minute, Winthont FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cornel Ulici fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, SK Mons's Sammy Van Houdtvin got a free kick in the 58th minute. Sixto Gorbea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Pihl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Winthont FC were awarded a corner. Igor Fujara went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Sixto Gorbea heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Winthont FC's Igor Fujara got a free kick in the 66th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şeref Erez during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alex Pihl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Marc van Nistelrooij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SK Mons's Alex Pihl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc van Nistelrooij in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Sixto Gorbea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Winthont FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sixto Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winthont FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Gorbea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Pihl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Leif Hammarberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Pihl. SK Mons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leif Hammarberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. In the 94th minute Sixto Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Winthont FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
