The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's Hermengildo Nesor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Till Geppert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Till Geppert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc van Nistelrooij in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Till Geppert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermengildo Nesor got free with Till Geppert in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hermengildo Nesor came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Winthont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Nesor couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Paavo Burgdorf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Beerthuis was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Adam Teuwen hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Till Geppert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Nesor in the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's Hermengildo Nesor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Till Geppert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Labigne in the 34th minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Dennis Beerthuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermengildo Nesor got free with Till Geppert in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hermengildo Nesor took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Till Geppert. Till Geppert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dennis Beerthuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Labigne in the 45th minute of play. If Hermengildo Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 56th minute, Rene Burschick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Hannover Reds's Rene Burschick got a free kick in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Gorbea came free, but Till Geppert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Till Geppert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Winthont FC's Sixto Gorbea in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hannover Reds's goalie prevented a goal. Till Geppert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Hammarberg in the 65th minute of play. Till Geppert came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Winthont FC's Sixto Gorbea. But to his dismay, Sixto Gorbea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 73rd minute Sixto Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Till Geppert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Winthont FC got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Zegeling. Sixto Gorbea took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Till Geppert. Till Geppert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Henrique Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Till Geppert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Gorbea in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Marnix Mastebroek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Sixto Gorbea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Till Geppert. Hannover Reds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixto Gorbea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Till Geppert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Immanuel Baumann came free, but Dennis Beerthuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winthont FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
