SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fors in the 14th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Connor Osmond successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 20 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Philip Kihlman. The supporters of SK Mons booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Kihlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nick Daniels made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Peng Xu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Ruben Smidts made the kick off in the second half. Şeref Erez kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Håkan Söderberg had great luck who in the 62ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Cornel Ulici from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. SK Mons's Cornel Ulici was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. SK Mons's Yanniek Verhaert was substituted for Sammy Van Houdtvin. Åke Fors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Osmond having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Deman came free, but Håkan Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Fors scored 2-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Connor Osmond, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Olofsson in the 94th minute of play. Degerfors IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
