In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Andarilhos booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Montiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Andarilhos's Fu Han Qiang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jon Oblak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 31 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Bruno in the 36th minute of play. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 45th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 45 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's Jorge Ruas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antony Bruno to make the kick off. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Oblak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute. Jon Oblak made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Jon Oblak managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ecuador's attack was well implemented in the 61st minute, but when Daniel Zorita was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Luís Espinosa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fu Han Qiang, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jon Oblak made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jon Oblak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andarilhos made a substitution. Jürgen Behnke replaced Antony Bruno. Jürgen Behnke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon Oblak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adriano Ramires charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Ramires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Adriano Ramires hit a great ball. The Andarilhos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
