An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Latarețu in the 3rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iosif Găman came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iosif Găman couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Silviu Latarețu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iosif Găman got free with Rolando Noboa in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Iacob Povară didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Silviu Latarețu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 23rd minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match, Iosif Găman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Noboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Iosif Găman sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Silviu Latarețu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Pancu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 37th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Peru booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viorel Gurzău didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Pancu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iosif Găman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Luca Pancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Francisc Ciocoiu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting a goal against them. Iacob Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luz Tejedor in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iacob Povară saved F.C CLUJ MEDICINA from getting behind. 82 minutes in the game, Luz Tejedor dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. The supporters of Peru booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Gugea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichifor Gugea hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Peru's Rafael Gallo managed to work through F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rafael Gallo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
