Adan Bembe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 6th minute of the match. Adan Bembe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adan Bembe saved Villa La Perla from getting behind. Isaac Eleder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Villa La Perla's Amador James got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Villa La Perla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Urti to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Omar Polentzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Bembe having to interfere. Villa La Perla's Adan Bembe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Adan Bembe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adan Bembe. Villa La Perla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Benedicto Medina came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. In the 45th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Isaac Eleder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Villa La Perla's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Bembe came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute Isaac Eleder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Eleder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Eugenio Kelemen made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Adan Bembe threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Eleder in the 95th minute of play. The Villa La Perla fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
