Rigoberto Bihar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Rigoberto Bihar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Silvanito came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Silvanito in the 33rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Placido Silvanito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Silvanito in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Muhammet Ökten tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhammet Ökten couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, River Plate ® 9-12's Faustino Bartuelo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Luz Tejedor shot from long distance in the 68th minute, but Rigoberto Bihar was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 70 played minutes River Plate ® 9-12 got a freekick which was hit by Piti Bernabéu. Dionisio Abecia's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Abecia helped the player get up and apologised.
