An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 40th minute of play forced Vuitto 2019's goalkeeper Abuzer Filiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Slawomir Banaszak was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. 93 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abuzer Filiz. Moises Fernandino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 96 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Yepes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vuitto 2019 the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Salvador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! El Salvador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
