Anfilogino Del Giudice hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 16th minute. The long shot by Beppe Bassani in the 17th minute really tested Dante Lacasa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Maritek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Adriano Santoro charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Santoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Santoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Beppe Bassani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maritek FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After a rather tough play, Maritek FC's Beppe Bassani got a free kick in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Maritek FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Edmondo Lepori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Joel Gaona scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmondo Lepori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmondo Lepori was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Maritek FC's Edmondo Lepori. Edmondo Lepori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Facundo Cadaval kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmondo Lepori. That made the score 0-7 in the 51 minute of play. In the 54th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Edmondo Lepori. Maritek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Alberto Tafalla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Edmondo Lepori skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 59th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Lepori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Edmondo Lepori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmondo Lepori having to make a save. Luca Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmondo Lepori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Facundo Cadaval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmondo Lepori was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Edmondo Lepori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Edmondo Lepori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Felix Luque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Edmondo Lepori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
