The crowd rose to their feet as Shi Ming kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 in the 8 minute of play. Shi Ming charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shi Ming the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Terremoto FC's Shi Ming got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Terremoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Sesuldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kenneth Libesoons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Cazalla threw the ball into play from the sideline. Terremoto FC's Jonas Lore quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shi Ming might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shi Ming ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shi Ming. The supporters of Mexico booed when Terremoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Lore didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenneth Libesoons made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After having played for 41 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Hilario Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Shi Ming made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Shi Ming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming in the 60th minute of the match. Terremoto FC's Gaston Laurentzi was substituted for Uriel Sesuldo. Mexico's Macos Graciani quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Isidoro Buinton, made in the 63rd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Terremoto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Kenneth Libesoons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenneth Libesoons was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Laurentzi in the 74th minute of the match.
