Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play forced Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Agustín Saelices who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Tudor having to interfere. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Horaţiu Coșeriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Czempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Progresul Pitesti were awarded a corner. Florin Logofătu went to the cornerflag to take it. Leonard Moise charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Moise the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Progresul Pitesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Moise to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Progresul Pitesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Martin Tudor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Chorache Tofiño struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Progresul Pitesti. Vintilă Marinică kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horaţiu Coșeriu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Czempa in the 59th minute of play. Karol Czempa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Timmie Deinse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Progresul Pitesti's Chorache Tofiño got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Martin Tudor however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Martin Tudor in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 minutes Progresul Pitesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Martin Tudor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 94th minute, Chorache Tofiño made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Progresul Pitesti were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
