A hard shot by Sebastian Gilen from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 19th minute, Ebbe Guldbrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenn Fronval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 29th minute. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenn Fronval read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kenn Fronval quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Venezuela booed when AB Tårnby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Reevold didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Rune Reevold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenn Fronval skillfully saved the ball. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Kenn Fronval showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute of the match. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaf Tiede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rune Reevold hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Gustaf Tiede cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaf Tiede in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AB Tårnby's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenn Fronval came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AB Tårnby booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Gustaf Tiede left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AB Tårnby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
