Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severiano Campelo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Campelo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severiano Campelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Severiano Campelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Campelo in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Severiano Campelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Severiano Campelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
