Guy Durant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Seemayer in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Azevedo got free with Guy Durant in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camille Gautheron kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anatol Hönes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, BiBa's Tomé Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guy Durant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lyon 69ers's Marian Racoviceanu got a free kick in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goal looked a bit too open when Juancho Bonachea came free, but Guy Durant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to BiBa getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Erich Konig hit a great ball. Lyon 69ers's Marian Racoviceanu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kai-Uwe Bartek but with some difficulty. The supporters of BiBa booed when Lyon 69ers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Lecanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. BiBa made a substitution. Peter Plappert replaced Norbert Arbogast. BiBa's Porfirio Filare was substituted for Yanick Wils. BiBa's Juancho Bonachea got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Silvian kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Seemayer in the 86th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Beaune's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kai-Uwe Bartek firmly grabbed it by the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
