The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genko Balevski in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genko Balevski's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Amor. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Escribano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ulysses Paiva hit a great ball. After 38 minutes, Alberto Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense.
