Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kai Hammerslev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play. When Johan Ostersen fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosenhøj Boldklub's protests and gave Johan Ostersen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Rosenhøj Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Ostersen to maneuver through the defense. Kai Hammerslev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Johan Ostersen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kai Hammerslev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kai Hammerslev was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Kai Hammerslev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kai Hammerslev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Kai Hammerslev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kai Hammerslev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 51st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Hammerslev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play forced Rosenhøj Boldklub's goalkeeper Kai Hammerslev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 55 played minutes Rosenhøj Boldklub got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Vimund. In the 56th minute, Ecuador's Luis Andino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kai Hammerslev. Kai Hammerslev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kai Hammerslev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Rosenhøj Boldklub's goalkeeper Kai Hammerslev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With a little luck, Rosenhøj Boldklub's Kai Hammerslev got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosenhøj Boldklub made a substitution. Pelle Erp replaced Stefan Wahl. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Agustín Saelices got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-4. 68 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Kai Hammerslev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 79 minutes into the game, Johan Ostersen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kai Hammerslev made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. When Christopher Heltø fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosenhøj Boldklub's protests and gave Christopher Heltø a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Rosenhøj Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Heltø to maneuver through the defense. The Rosenhøj Boldklub fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
