Uruguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luciano Sidoro 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The supporters of Hallstahammar IK booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaime Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Deșliu came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Hallstahammar IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Brady didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joseph Svartengren was a little too slow when Francisco Seco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 58th minute Ştefan Deșliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bruno Beldad fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Bruno Beldad a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 66 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. With a little luck, Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Francisco Seco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joseph Svartengren, passed just outside the right post. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Adolf Papoušek in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. 82 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Alexei Karamazov came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Sidoro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Karl Nordström was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 91 minutes into the game, one of Hallstahammar IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jaime Cazalla walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Alexei Karamazov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere.
