The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayan Baye in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the game Emmanuel Reyes made a throw-in which Milagros Fraga played forward. The throw-in from David Buhăescu in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A collision led to Wargön getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Zdzislaw Liermann hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivar Siöberg in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Wargön got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bayan Baye ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Júlio Munhoz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Buba in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Sören Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Wargön players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-2.

Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Sören Tunberg made a huge save. Wargön's Nils-Arne Nilsson was substituted for Artur Buba. In the 62nd minute, Iwan Czeberowski made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.
