S A R A Y's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Miromir Kociniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Koray Suer managed to get in a good position for a shot. G . S A R A Y's supporters rose to their feet, but Koray Suer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced G . S A R A Y's goalkeeper Miromir Kociniewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radomil Beninda during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bertil Wassenius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After a rather tough play, G . S A R A Y's Nils-Christian Løvberg got a free kick in the 26th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Svante Åberg charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svante Åberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes G . S A R A Y got a freekick which was hit by Svante Åberg. Miromir Kociniewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the G . S A R A Y defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miromir Kociniewski. The G . S A R A Y fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miromir Kociniewski should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 36 in the game by Bertil Wassenius from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. In the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Miromir Kociniewski. G . S A R A Y's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Nils-Christian Løvberg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Svante Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The G . S A R A Y players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Svante Åberg made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kamil Babacan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svante Åberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Rüknettin Tosunoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Rüknettin Tosunoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 minutes G . S A R A Y's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, G . S A R A Y's Miromir Kociniewski got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute Svante Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kamil Babacan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kamil Babacan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miromir Kociniewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than G . S A R A Y.
