Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Juninho Junior's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juninho Junior helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Junior didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Horea Zâncă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliodor Dan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Petre Izbașa got a free kick in the 21st minute. Aron Neculce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelian Zogreanu got free with Julio Vera in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Neculce. Aron Neculce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Iván Zamorano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ninjas in Pyjamas's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Neculce came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 49th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Luis Andino got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-3. 49 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelian Zogreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Iván Zamorano scored 1-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horea Zâncă during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Zâncă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aron Neculce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Juninho Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Zogreanu in the 92nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Ninjas in Pyjamas and deserved their victory. The Ninjas in Pyjamas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
