Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. The corner led to Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giotis Michailidis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 18th minute of play forced Someliéri's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes Someliéri's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Giotis Michailidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvin van der Saar. Someliéri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 26 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Someliéri's Edvin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Someliéri got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Laurendi. Edvin van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Someliéri's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giotis Michailidis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvin van der Saar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Giotis Michailidis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Someliéri's Tibor Slaninka got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvin van der Saar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 45th minute of play forced Someliéri's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Edvin van der Saar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 70th minute, Giotis Michailidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argi Villar in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 81st minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oliver-James Gol was slow to take the kick. During this time Someliéri's players had a chance to rest. In the 84th match minute, Someliéri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fe Fe to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Someliéri's Fe Fe fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Julio Vera was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal.
