An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Moises Gayoso hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Edgardo Silva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgardo Silva really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ye Gang Cheng made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Silva in the 41st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremy Nicholas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 56th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. New England Minas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. New England Minas made a substitution. Tio Lio replaced Alperen Öksüz. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Eliseo Mina. But to his dismay, Eliseo Mina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 72 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Edgardo Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 92 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jeremy Nicholas, 3-4. 95 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
