Leopoldo Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Erruki in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Inter de Munique got a freekick which was hit by Léo Pombal. Leopoldo Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Inko, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Florida Gulf Coast's Nestor Inko in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Erruki was the one to do the kick off. Serginho Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Geofredo having to interfere. Inter de Munique's Hamílton Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Florida Gulf Coast defense, Hamílton Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Geofredo. The Florida Gulf Coast fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Geofredo should have stopped the shot. Inter de Munique's Leopoldo Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Munique from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Roberto Cayo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute Hamílton Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Erruki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Trigo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 79th match minute, Inter de Munique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Wilian Loureiro's late challenge caught a Florida Gulf Coast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilian Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Inter de Munique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inter de Munique's Leopoldo Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Inko in the 90th minute of play. It was beautiful to see Inter de Munique's Antônio Carlos Meira in action when he in the 93rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Nicanor Oliveiro kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Florida Gulf Coast's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
