An unexpectedly hard shot by Yeferson Soteldo in the 14th minute of play forced Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Leoiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Leoiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Iturburu in the 17th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Armando Iturburu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacinto Leoiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yeferson Soteldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Leoiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Alejo Palben put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matheu City FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Jacinto Leoiar had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Yeferson Soteldo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Matheu City FC defense, Yeferson Soteldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Leoiar. The Matheu City FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Leoiar should have stopped the shot. Jacinto Leoiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yeferson Soteldo in the 32nd minute of the match. Yeferson Soteldo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Leoiar. Jacinto Leoiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With a little luck, Matheu City FC's Jacinto Leoiar got control of the ball when Yeferson Soteldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacinto Leoiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yeferson Soteldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Matheu City FC booed when Criciúma Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobby Valentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Jacinto Leoiar managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Criciúma Esporte Clube's Yeferson Soteldo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle sounded Criciúma Esporte Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Matheu City FC.
