Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomás Angel got the match started through his kick off. Jem Makaronas took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Montoya. Sebastian Montoya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Sebastian Montoya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Fix Zubiaur came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Conjunto Paisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fix Zubiaur couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, Conjunto Paisa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eli Olarria to maneuver through the defense. Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Angel in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Conjunto Paisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fix Zubiaur didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo got control of the ball when Tomás Angel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florida Gulf Coast's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Tomás Angel scored to the left of an out of position Lucio Geofredo, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Erruki in the 35th minute of play forced Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Sebastian Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Erruki got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sebastian Montoya handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 37th minute Constantino Seguinus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Lucio Geofredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Angel. Sebastian Montoya came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Florida Gulf Coast's Constantino Seguinus. But to his dismay, Constantino Seguinus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half Florida Gulf Coast were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Aurelio Erruki made the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Fix Zubiaur came free, but Lucio Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match Conjunto Paisa got a corner. Florida Gulf Coast's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomás Angel ran over to the corner to take the kick. 58 minutes into the match, Conjunto Paisa's Tomás Angel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucio Geofredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Tomás Angel came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Conjunto Paisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Angel couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Nestor Inko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastian Montoya, 1-4. Constantino Seguinus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Sebastian Montoya made a huge save. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Florida Gulf Coast's Constantino Seguinus fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Conjunto Paisa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jem Makaronas was slow to take the kick. During this time Florida Gulf Coast's players had a chance to rest. Ke Hui Kuan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Lucio Geofredo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fix Zubiaur's late challenge caught a Florida Gulf Coast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fix Zubiaur helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Conjunto Paisa got a freekick which was hit by Fix Zubiaur. Tomás Angel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucio Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Angel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Dantae Oliveros's late challenge caught a Florida Gulf Coast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dantae Oliveros helped the player get up and apologised. Tomás Angel struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Lucio Geofredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conjunto Paisa. The Conjunto Paisa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Florida Gulf Coast's performance. The match ended with a win for Florida Gulf Coast.
