In the 6th minute, Robinho Salgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matheu City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Benito Gartxot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Olof Kihlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Rozarius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FORTALEZA booed when Matheu City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Palben didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Alejo Palben was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matheu City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FORTALEZA the free kick. Matheu City FC's Jacinto Leoiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dmitry Yakubovsky in the 35th minute of play. When Matheu City FC's Robinho Salgado in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FORTALEZA's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg got control of the ball when Blas Rozarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Blas Rozarius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per-Olof Kihlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save FORTALEZA from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dmitry Yakubovsky made a kick off. If Robinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 53 minutes into the match, Matheu City FC's Blas Rozarius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Olof Kihlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Alejo Palben notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg. Per-Olof Kihlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 68 minutes, Luis Caetano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matheu City FC and the FORTALEZA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Luis Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Gorka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Leoiar. Matheu City FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Gabrio in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FORTALEZA's Santo Gorka got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Robinho Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Kihlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Rozarius in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Olof Kihlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Vasily Stahanovich fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FORTALEZA's protests and gave Vasily Stahanovich a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Matheu City FC booed when FORTALEZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasily Stahanovich didn't get a good kick on the ball. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Rozarius in the 82nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Rozarius in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Olof Kihlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per-Olof Kihlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blas Rozarius went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasily Stahanovich got free with Jacinto Leoiar in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
