The supporters of FORTALEZA booed when Chaponnay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charly Boisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's Evan Le Moullec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Olof Kihlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evan Le Moullec in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Olof Kihlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fedor Tabalevich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORTALEZA's goalkeeper Per-Olof Kihlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Evan Le Moullec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Olof Kihlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renaud Houzet in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Chaponnay FC got a corner. FORTALEZA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charly Boisson ran over to the corner to take the kick. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renaud Houzet in the 26th minute of play. Csongor Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Gorka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Csongor Kun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Gorka in the 29th minute of play. Evan Le Moullec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Olof Kihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Le Moullec in the 34th minute of play. Evan Le Moullec might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per-Olof Kihlberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evan Le Moullec ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38thth minute of the game Evan Le Moullec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Olof Kihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evan Le Moullec, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Per-Olof Kihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Le Moullec in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evan Le Moullec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charly Boisson made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FORTALEZA's Santo Gorka. Boris Kotov hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Charly Boisson could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Per-Olof Kihlberg however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evan Le Moullec got free with Per-Olof Kihlberg in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kevan Brossier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Per-Olof Kihlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evan Le Moullec in the 71st minute of play. Per-Olof Kihlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renaud Houzet's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Dmitry Yakubovsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Csongor Kun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FORTALEZA's Per-Olof Kihlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FORTALEZA from getting a goal against them. Per-Olof Kihlberg made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Charly Boisson sent off a good shot on target. Per-Olof Kihlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evan Le Moullec in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Pavel Serada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FORTALEZA and the Chaponnay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Serada. In the 79th match minute, FORTALEZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Serada to maneuver through the defense. Per-Olof Kihlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renaud Houzet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduart Rrustemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Olof Kihlberg was a little too slow when Charly Boisson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-2. 96 minutes into the match, Vasily Stahanovich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Csongor Kun. Chaponnay FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasily Stahanovich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
