In the 24th match minute, Vanderslaike FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Rami Arecha from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Anier Sayvion's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Julian Robira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marquinhos Mønster in the 27 minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Yeferson Soteldo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Anier Sayvion to make any attempt to save it. Naldo Fonseca hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Perez's late challenge caught a Criciúma Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Perez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vanderslaike FC's Oswaldo Perez got a free kick in the 36th minute. Anier Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Iturburu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Fonseca in the 39th minute of play. Armando Iturburu's late challenge caught a Vanderslaike FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Iturburu helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Criciúma Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Armando Iturburu. After 45 played minutes Vanderslaike FC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Mønster.

Criciúma Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Iturburu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mário Yepes in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vanderslaike FC's Bengt-Arne Stor. In the 86th minute, Marquinhos Mønster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yeferson Soteldo went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 92 played minutes Criciúma Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Yeferson Soteldo. In the 94th match minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevis De Bruyne to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Criciúma Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
