Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Bastiaro in the 16th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Gartzen. 19 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Bastiaro came free, but Lucio Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Ramos in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Florida Gulf Coast's Jem Makaronas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jem Makaronas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Florida Gulf Coast protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jem Makaronas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 21 minutes into the game, one of Florida Gulf Coast:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nestor Inko hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Danilo Ramos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Geofredo skillfully saved the ball. After 27 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Tavio. 31 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Quinto came free, but Lucio Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ivan Tavio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Tavio made a kick off. Constantino Seguinus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emiliano Juvenal having to make a save. If Roberto Cayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Constantino Seguinus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Seguinus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Juvenal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cipriano Aznaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiliano Juvenal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Tavio in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Florida Gulf Coast got a corner. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cipriano Aznaro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Danilo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Emiliano Juvenal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Tavio in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dante Ramos during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adolfo Bastiaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Lucio Geofredo made a huge save. Constantino Seguinus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Tavio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Juvenal having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Constantino Seguinus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelo Quinto hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th match minute, DeportivoIndependienteMDP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Aznaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emiliano Juvenal. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
