Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renaud Houzet in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Tavio in the 4th minute of play forced Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Csongor Kun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Inko scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Csongor Kun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucio Geofredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charly Boisson in the 8th minute. If Charly Boisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evan Le Moullec, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Nestor Inko got a free kick in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Inko came free, but Csongor Kun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Csongor Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Inko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantino Seguinus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Csongor Kun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Evan Le Moullec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaud Houzet struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Lucio Geofredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaponnay FC. Charly Boisson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Lucio Geofredo made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Kevan Brossier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucio Geofredo. Kevan Brossier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Chaponnay FC's Evan Le Moullec got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Dominix. Charly Boisson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucio Geofredo. Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th minute Nestor Inko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Csongor Kun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Florida Gulf Coast's Nestor Inko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Csongor Kun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Inko was the one to do the kick off. Lucio Geofredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renaud Houzet in the 59th minute of the match. Csongor Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Seguinus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucio Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evan Le Moullec in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Chaponnay FC's Csongor Kun got control of the ball when Cipriano Aznaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chaponnay FC's Kevan Brossier got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Chaponnay FC's Gaston Hurtaud was substituted for Darren Bour. Kevan Brossier hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Inko. Kevan Brossier scored 2-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucio Geofredo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florida Gulf Coast's Cipriano Aznaro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Csongor Kun in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Florida Gulf Coast players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
