Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Baptista in the 39th minute of play. Anier Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Naldo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanderslaike FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaldo Dracena was the one to do the kick off. Despite this Naldo Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Anier Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Dracena in the 69th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Rodriguinho Dracena hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reinaldo Dracena got free with Anier Sayvion in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 minutes, Oswaldo Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vanderslaike FC and the Inter Gala players grew even worse after the yellow card.
